That Duffy Assembly
Yesterday we had a special assembly and it was the Duffy Assembly. We had a Duffy theatre acting out a new story and we all enjoyed it, it was about Duffy losing his words against a ugly looking outer space man, and I think this was the best Duffy show we've ever had.

Mangawhai Heads
On the last day of camp the councillors decided that we deserver to go and have a tittle fun at the beach after all we were on our way back to Auckland. As we reach our destination we all ran out of our vans and enoyed the breeze, and here is a photo of some of us playing volleyball.
The Flying Foxs
Here is a photo of me going on this flying fox for the first time at that place, the flying fox was very long and it was a long ride for use and also a long fall, now before we went down the flying fork we had some safety gear to put on and as we had done that then we would go down the flying fork.

Sugata Mitra Information Report
Agents of Change can make a difference in children’s education
Sir Sugata Mitra was the first ever to introduce technology to places where they don’t have running water, electricity and many more, his experiment was about the hole in the wall. So he decided to stick a computer in the wall, and when the children saw this they started playing around with it and as soon as they got used to it, they started teaching each others. This experiment has helped a lot of kids learn English and explore something that they've never explored before.
Sugata Mitra’s vision was to make changes in children's lives and move them up to the next level in their learning, and therefore he is now known as an agent of change because of what he did. He has achieved his vision by sticking a computer in a wall and called it “ a hole in the wall.” Later on as people got used to these kind of technology he stuck one in the middle of a village, and it started becoming useful to families.
The effect on the village is that they could speak English and has definitely moved them up to the next level with their English. A lot of these children learnt English without a teacher, but worked collaboratively together.
Sir Sugata Mitra replace teachers with computers and made it better for the children to learn and work clabretivly, but they didn't work all by themselves they would go on Skype everyday and talk to nannies in England. They don’t tell them what to do they encourage, and support them, and they are known as nanny clouds.
Sir Sugata Mitra has changed a lot of children's lives and introduced technology to places where they didn't have any, and is now known as an agent of change. People have experience his work and learnt a lot of new things and hopefully it will encourage more kids into learning.

Camp Day1
Camp Day 1
On Friday the 19th of July was the Adventures and Pathfinders camp, it was held at Magawhai heads and we were sleeping in capons. As we got there we started unpacking and explored the place a little and after that we were being welcomed and went over the drills for what was expected when there's a disaster, and after that we splited into our classes.
Afterwards when we had finished our class work for the day all the kids went out and some of us explored the place more and some of us played a little game of netball and basketball. as we were enjoying ourselves the adults were busy making dinner and desert. Later on as it was becoming Sabbath we all started cleaning ourselves up and got ready for opening Sabbath and meted up in the living room. During opening Sabbath we sang some songs and then uncle David opened us up with a verse from the bible, and straight after that we washed our hands and lined up for dinner.
After dinner the kids all made their way into their capons and while everyone was getting ready to go to sleep the girls (us) got started and made lots of noise and as it got latter and latter we got louder and louder. So we kind of went to sleep around 10 or 11.

Dear Historical Village
Thank you for that wonderful and interesting day I learnt a lot of new things and a I like all the activities that were organized for us.
My favourite part was getting punished by Mrs White I really enjoyed standing in the middle of the doorway. My second favourite part was the two classroom run by Mrs Hallam and Mrs Hill. It was really interesting finding out about the equipment that kids would use to make their own toys and how boys and girls would make a family such a young age, but most of all that I found interesting was that they made something interesting and enjoyable out of wood, string and glass.
Once again like would like to thank you for having us and showing us around and hopefully we come back and learn more about the ones that we did not managed to see or find out about.

Mona Lisa Enlargements
Mona Lisa Blurb
This is an enlargement on our Mona Lisa and as you can see we have put a lot of effort into drawing and a lot of them are really great. To help us draw the scales most of the class went on studyladder and Mrs Anderson set up an activity and when you click on it, it is a picture scales of the Mona Lisa but how you drew it on your piece of paper in squares.
While we were measuring we measured 6 across and 7 down. We had to use math measurements to do this art activity. To use up all the paper we measured 3.5 cm across and we also measured 3.5 cm down, and from there on we ended up with 6 across and 7 down. After we had finish scaling up our piece of paper we then had to draw the same picture onto our own pieces of paper but we needed to make it bigger.

My Floor Planner
Here is my floor plan on what I want in the future and what we have now, and as you can see I have a reading eerier for for the teacher to work with a group and they are sitting on beanbags and sofas. In our future classroom I also have a interactive white board next to the teachers desk, the along the back we have a plasma T.V. and to the lift of it we have an exit door and on the other side we have a netbook cupboard. In the middle of the classroom are disks with no to drays but with wheel chairs, then behind the desks I add 2 desks and 4 computers and in front of the desks we have an acses door to the cloak room and to acsses the boys and girls toilets and showers. That is all for what I want in the future because I have not finished designing it yet. Now if you click on where it says floor 2 you will see my design that I have created on what our classroom looks now.
