Our BODMAS Result

Hi, this is mine and Asmah's results on BODMAS (Brackets, Other Things Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction.) This word BODMAS helps me remember the oder when I am doing the equation.  I also learnt that in an equation like some of these the brackets are the equation that you do first.

Monthly Blog Posts Poster

HEre is a poster that I have made on how many blog posts I have each month this year and how I have improved that. This graph was created on spreedsheet and before we did the graph we wrote the name of the months from Feburary to August, and then wrote the number of posts I have on each month. Then you highlight everything on the spreedsheet and click on the chart sign at the top. THen you make your own chart.

Maths Number line

Today we finished of our 100 square maths grid from yesterday and we've all been working collaborative and we've all done an amazing job. Before we did our number line we cut of the hundred squares we were given and turned it into a number line. Later on we glued them on a piece of paper and skip counted in 3 and started at the number 36, after that we took a look at our number line and noticed the patterns, and they were that there were 3 and 9 times tables, it goes odd, even, odd, even and on our hundreds square they go diagonal.

Mona Lisa Enlargements

This is an enlargement on our Mona Lisa and as you can see we have put a lot of effort into drawing and a lot of them are really great.  To help us draw the scales most of the class went on studyladder and Mrs Anderson set up an activity and when you click on it, it is a picture scales of the Mona Lisa but how you drew it on your piece of paper in squares.

While we were measuring we measured 6 across and 7 down. We had to use math measurements to do this art activity. To use up all the paper we measured 3.5 cm across and we also measured 3.5 cm down, and from there on we ended up with 6 across and 7 down. After we had finish scaling up our piece of paper we then had to draw the same picture onto our own pieces of paper but we needed to make it bigger.

Maths with Miss Corpet

On Thursday and Friday we had Miss Corpet as our reliever and she had organised a fun maths activity for all of us.  In this activity we learnt how to do arcartic and learnt what it meant.  I really like gis activity so next she comes I hope we do another maths activity.

Fast Facts

This is my resolute on my 9 times tables and as you can  see I did well on this one than my 12 times tables and my time was better, because on my 12 times tables my time was 66 seconds and on this one it was 58 seconds so you can see the imrovment on this one.  So to chellenge you, here is the link to this website and see how long it takes you to do your times tables.

Addition Challenge

This is one of the activities that my group had to do. It was all about addition.  We did this activity to help us improve our addition and recall our facts faster.  I really enjoyed this game because I'm getting faster and I don't need to us my fingers this time. Next time I need to challenge myself so see what I need to work on next time.

Numbers in Words

This morning my group and I did some challenging activity's and this is one of them.  This one is about reading the number words, finding the number in it the column on the left hand side, writing the letter or letters in the box bellow and then we unscramble the word. In the I ended up with value or equal.

I really enjoyed doing this activity because it just like playing traffic-light.
